Saturday August 8th there is a FREE outdoor concert at the Flagstar Strand in downtown Pontiac from 4-8!\n\nThis FREE concert will be using the Strand's Marquee as the stage for 4 amazing bands. The streets will be closed\, the food will be GREAT and the music will be hot ??\n\nBring a chair\, your mask and your friends!\n\n \n\nTHORNETTA DAVIS\n\nFor over twenty years this multi-talented native Detroiter has graced and dominated Michigan's most attended events. Known as the Queen of the Blues\, she has performed over two hundred shows a year with grace and stamina. Her voice is strong\, commanding\, melodic and smooth. She tells her stories with incredible delivery and leaves her audiences wanting more.\n\n \n\nMAJOR DUDES\n\nMajor Dudes is an extraordinary six piece Steely Dan Tribute band featuring award-winning musicians who have recorded and toured extensively with some of the greatest regional and national artists.\n\nThis powerful lineup delivers impeccable renditions of Steely Dan chart-topping hits and choice deep cuts that fans of the Grammy winning legends love to see and hear.\n\nMajor Dudes are known for captivating Michigan audiences in major clubs and outdoor festivals with their tight arrangements and strong vocals.\n\n \n\nTHE FRUITS\n\nThe Fruits is a Trio formed by Drew Machak and Sean Mallare. Originally a duo\, Drew & Sean brought in Nick Press who plays Bass. The Fruits play multiple instruments and incorporate live looping and have a lot of Fun with the band. Switching from bass to keyboards and back\, lead singer Pauly Doerr\, drummer Matthew Donehoo and guitarist Swerve have an infectious pop sound that keeps the crowd aching for song after song.
