DESCRIPTION:The American Cancer Society's 14th annual Detroit Select Golf Invitational\, presented by Adient\, will be held Monday\, July 10\, 2017 at the prestigious Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills\, Michigan. A challenging and enjoyable day of golf will be capped off with a cocktail reception\, an awards dinner and an exciting silent auction. Originally named "Cattle Baron's Golf Round-Up"\, the outing was introduced to the metro Detroit community in 2003 along with the inaugural Cattle Baron's Ball. The golf event is a pre-event to the Ball which takes place in the fall in Detroit. The Detroit Select Golf Invitational has raised over $1.7 million and continues to attract prominent participants and corporate sponsors from across Southeast Michigan. Over 200 golfers are expected to attend this exclusive event featuring playing opportunities on both the South and North courses at Oakland Hills Country Club.
